For context purposes, the blog owner is a fairly recently-hatched (Started hormones late-June 2012) white genderfluid trans-woman. Pansexual. “They” or female pronouns. Sometimes I even look like this:

Now tell me more about yourself. I’m boring. That said:

MY LONG-OVERDUE SORT OF FAQ
(Or, a sort of generic hodge-podge of questions I’ve received everywhere I’m active on the internet (not just here), as well as questions I figured I’d go ahead and head off at the pass.) I’ll periodically expand this as more questions roll in.

1. What’s the relevance of the blog name?

It’s the name of my band. We play experimental electronic music that, for lack of a better word, I’ve been referring to as “hacker punk”, but typically wavers between Electroclash, Industrial Noise, and Noise Pop. We have a Soundcloud, which is currently just a jumble of live, studio and demo work that makes no sense. You’ll get a better idea what’s what by checking us out on Youtube, like for instance this show where we opened for Otto Von Schirach. Also, here’s a fun interview with me for Flunk Rock where I talk a lot about the history of the project.

2. So who are you?

My name is Rani. I front and program for the aforementioned band (and occasionally do remix work under the same name), sporadically write for Cracked.com (as well as taking the occasional freelance/contest route, writing wise), and work in tech support as a day job.

3. Sometimes I feel like this is primarily a comedy blog, and then you post something moody or dark or political. Wouldn’t it be better if you were more focused?

Trust me, I’ve taken that into consideration, and figured this thing works better as sort of a feed of what catches my eye at the time. I actually would like to get back into doing my blog posts regularly. However, if you haven’t been following long, it might surprise you the kind of depressing stories an aspiring comedy writer comes up with naturally.

4. Not really a question, but I won’t ever post anything NSFW on this blog. Been considering creating a NSFW blog one day, however.
